Faith restored
I admire the way Grant J. Goss (Your Views, Nov. 10) feels about accepting
tuition aid. I'm ashamed of Thomas Marcum and Elizabeth Gohr (Your Views,
Nov. 15) for criticizing him. Goss isn't subsidized by attending a state
college. His parents have paid enough in taxes over the years to have paid
his way. Too many students have accepted student loans with no intention
of repaying them and have not been forced to do so. I attended the
University of Oklahoma and had a job to pay for my tuition. I want to
thank Goss for restoring my faith in young people.
